AI integration via MCP: sanctions screening where you work

Last updated:

Am I Compliant provides an MCP server. The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is the open standard through which AI tools use external applications. Connect sanctions and PEP screening directly to Claude or other MCP-capable AI tools and run checks where you work, without copying and pasting. The same lists, the same screening quality, the same credits. Included in all paid plans.

What is the Model Context Protocol (MCP)?

MCP is an open standard defining how AI models and agents work with external tools and data sources. An MCP server makes an application's functions available to AI assistants. The standard is supported by major AI providers. Am I Compliant operates its own MCP server, making screening available in your familiar AI environment.

What can you do through MCP?

The Am I Compliant MCP server provides these functions:

  • Check the connection: test whether your account is connected.
  • Screen a single party: check a person, company or vessel against the available lists.
  • Screen multiple parties: check several business partners in one go.
  • List previous checks: access your past checks.
  • Retrieve a check in detail: view the result and matches for a specific check.
  • Retrieve a certificate: download the audit-proof PDF/A certificate with a verification URL.

How do you connect Am I Compliant to Claude?

The connection uses OAuth. Sign in once with your existing account and authorise access. There is no need to copy API keys or store them in configuration files. The connection uses your account and existing permissions.

Does this work with my CRM?

This depends on whether your CRM can act as an MCP client, meaning it can call external MCP servers itself. Only then is a direct connection possible. As of July 2026, these platforms support this:

  • Salesforce Agentforce: Salesforce describes Agentforce as a native MCP client. MCP servers are selected through AgentExchange and integrated into AgentBuilder without code.
  • Microsoft Copilot Studio and Dynamics 365: agents can connect to external MCP servers. The server's tools then become available within the agent.
  • HubSpot Breeze: the HubSpot MCP Client connects Breeze Agents to external MCP servers. This applies to Breeze Agents in Breeze Studio; the Prospecting Agent and Breeze Assistant are excluded.

Other CRMs currently only provide their own MCP server, including Attio. An MCP server supplies data, but does not call external servers itself. We have not found native MCP client functionality for Zoho, Pipedrive or monday.

In these cases, an MCP-capable assistant such as Claude acts as the client: it reads the record from your CRM, screens the business partner through Am I Compliant and writes the result back.

Please note: some of these platforms use curated catalogues of MCP servers. Whether an individual server can be added freely depends on the provider. Support is changing rapidly, so check your CRM documentation if in doubt.

Does using MCP cost extra?

No. AI integration is included in all paid plans. Checks through MCP use the same credits as checks in the application: one credit per party screened. An active subscription and sufficient credits are required.

Does screening quality stay the same?

Yes. MCP runs the same check against the same sanctions lists as the application, with the same traffic-light result and the same audit-proof PDF/A certificate with a verification URL. A match remains a risk indicator; the assessment is your responsibility.
